lovely tropical getaway 15km out of cooktown, exceeded expectations; exceptional surroundings, warm hosts, delicious breakfast. our room had a beautiful garden view; very relaxing atmosphere at the verandah.

The lush gardens and cozy veranda create a peaceful ambiance perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. the outdoor swimming pool was a refreshing spot to chill during the hot days and the sun loungers were great for soaking up the sun. the only downside was the shared bathroom situation but honestly, it was no big deal considering everything else was top-notch and we'd definitely stay again! 🌿.

nestled in a beautiful tropical garden, Paperbark Retreat Bed & Breakfast offers a tranquil escape. the hosts, tony and sue, provide fantastic breakfast and company. the surroundings are exceptional and offer plenty to explore. the room was beautifully presented, and the verandah provided a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature's sounds.
